Sleep Apnea & Snoring
Comfortable sleep care
A custom oral appliance is a comfortable, CPAP-free way to treat snoring and mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnea — provided in partnership with your physician.
Does this sound like you?
- Loud, nightly snoring that disrupts your partner's sleep
- Waking up gasping, choking, or with a dry mouth
- Morning headaches and all-day exhaustion, no matter how long you sleep
- You've tried CPAP and just can't tolerate the mask or noise
A comfortable alternative to CPAP
For many people with snoring or mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnea, a custom oral appliance is all it takes. It's a small, custom-fit device — a bit like a retainer — that gently holds your lower jaw forward while you sleep, keeping your airway open. No mask, no hose, no electricity. It's quiet, travels easily, and most people adjust within a week or two.
How your sleep care works
Because sleep apnea is a medical condition, we work hand-in-hand with your physician — that's not red tape, it's the safe, properly-covered way to do this:
- Screening & referral. We review your symptoms and coordinate the next step with your doctor.
- Diagnosis & sleep test. A physician orders a sleep test (often a simple home test) and makes the diagnosis.
- Your custom appliance. Once diagnosed, we scan your bite and fit a custom device made just for you.
- Titration & follow-up. We fine-tune the fit, confirm it's working, and follow you over time with your physician.
We work with your doctor
We don't diagnose sleep apnea ourselves — a physician does. We're the team that designs, fits, and manages the comfortable appliance that treats it.
What about insurance?
Custom sleep appliances are billed to your medical insurance (not dental), and are covered by most plans and Medicare when the proper diagnosis and sleep test are in place. We'll help verify your benefits before you start.
Good to know
Common questions
Do I need a sleep study first?
Yes — a diagnosis from a physician, based on a sleep test, is required before an appliance is made. We coordinate this with you, and a home sleep test is often all that's needed.
I already have a sleep apnea diagnosis. Can I come straight in?
Often yes. If you already have a recent diagnosis and sleep study, bring them and we can move quickly to your appliance. We'll confirm everything is current.
Is an oral appliance as good as CPAP?
For snoring and mild-to-moderate sleep apnea, oral appliances are a well-established, effective option — and far more comfortable for many people, which means they actually get worn. Your physician helps decide what's right for you.
Is it covered by insurance?
Custom appliances bill to medical insurance and are covered by most plans and Medicare with the proper diagnosis. We verify your benefits up front.
